About “ReLEx smile”
“ReLEx smile” is the safest and most innovative laser eye procedure. This type of treatment is a further development of the Femto-LASIK method and has the distinct advantage that it eliminates the need for cutting a flap. Instead a special lenticle is prepared inside the cornea using a femtosecond laser which mirrors the vision disorders exactly. Then the lenticle is removed through a tiny incision (2mm) and the refractive error is corrected. Thanks to the laser surgery that does not require the formation of corneal flap envelope (flap), the risks of complications associated with the formation of the flap, infection, as well as epithelial ingrowths, are significantly reduced.
