The ECG allows the physician to permit statements regarding the rhythm, the spread of electrical excitation and perfusion of the heart muscle. It will be usually performed if you have chest pain or palpitations, if you are scheduled for surgery or if you have had heart problems in the past. ECG recording during physical activity (ergometry) is used to detect stress-induced arrhythmias or lack of perfusion (coronary heart disease).
Within the scope of our routine examination an ECG is routinely performed, if indicated also under stress conditions.
